As our company has grown, we’ve expanded our offerings to include commercial vans, flatbeds, stepdecks, ramp trailers and lowboys, and we’ve expanded our business to include a three-bay maintenance shop where our knowledgeable mechanics keep the trailer fleet in optimal condition.

A longtime trucking industry veteran, Blaine began his career selling semi-trailers and moved to a successful sales career at Werner Enterprise before founding Batten Trailer Leasing in 1984. He saw a need for storage trailers and trailer rental options and answered that call. Over the years, Blaine grew Batten from a small startup to a trusted, successful leader in the trucking industry, offering companies of all sizes the resources they need to move and store freight efficiently and successfully.

Barry brings 30 years of business leadership experience and hands-on trucking industry expertise to Batten, where he heads our efforts to grow our company, expand product offerings and ensure the services we offer meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Vice President of Operations
As a young girl growing up in rural Nebraska on a 1000-acre farm near Fremont, Nebraska, Pat learned what it meant to work efficiently and effectively as a team – a quality she brings to work each day as Director of Operations at Batten. Pat directs all incoming and outgoing trailer rentals, manages inventory, handles logistics for customers and vendors, and acts as a trusted connection between Batten and our customers.
Batten CFO Theresa Hawley has over 20 years of years of expertise in custodial cash, financial management, and enterprise accounting processes and control implementation, as well as extensive experience in the construction and software design industries. She thrives in business development and brings that passion and dedication to her role as CFO.
Scott Points brings more than 30 years of experience and invaluable knowledge to Batten, having worked on all models and types of trailers and trucks. He holds an ACDL and has driven all over the country. As Master Mechanic, he oversees the quality and performance of the Batten Trailer fleet.
Chairman of the Board, Owner
John Jenkins is Chairman and CEO of Hoback Assets, LLC, an investment and management advisory firm, based in Mitchell, South Dakota. Additionally, John is a venture partner with Dundee Venture Capital, an early stage business capital firm with offices in Omaha, Chicago, Minneapolis and St. Louis. He serves as the Chairman of the Board for Batten Trailer Leasing.
